The Russian foreign Ministry firmly condemned on Friday the hijacking of the Russian cargo vessel by the LTTE. In escaping a Naval attack last Wednesday night, the Sea Tigers belonging to the LTTE, hijacked a Russian merchant vessel, M V Utyos, in the sea off Mullaitivu. “This incident once again confirms the indisputable fact that terrorism... has no borders, poses a mutual threat, and only the international community together can solve this problem,” the ministry statement said.
