The main opposition United National Party [UNP] will make a proposal to move a no faith motion against the ruling PA government at today’s UNP parliamentary group meeting, the chief opposition whip W.J.M Lokubandara revealed. “I am making this proposal because the government is acting in an arbitrary manner as if parliament does not exist and I feel that parliament should be more vibrant” he further stated. However President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga will ceremonially open the eleventh parliament on Thursday.
