President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga will ceremonially open the second session of the fourth Parliament today at 10. am. She will address the House and deliver the new PA Government's policy statement. The House will be adjourned thereafter and resumed at 1.30 pm for the debate on the monthly extension of the Emergency. A Bill to incorporate the national Institute of Cooperative Development will also be presented at the commencement of public business.
