Five new Parliamentarians took oaths yesterday before the Speaker Anura Bandaranaike. Former MP, P. Selvarasa, took oaths as the new TLUF member representing the Batticaloa district. He is appointed to fill the seat after the assassination of Nimalanayagam Saundaranayagam. Former Colombo Municipal Council member, Sunil Hadunnetti and Chandrasena Wijesinghe were sworn in as JVP members. Representing Matara district, Vijaya Dahanayake took oaths while Kanapathi Kanagaraj became the new EPDP member for the Jaffna district.
