LTTE chief wanted by Interpol for "Murder, Terrorism and Terrorism Conspiracy"

Interpol has sent a worldwide notice for the arrest of LTTE chief, Velupillai Prabhakaran, the Hindustani Times said referring to the interpol website which has listed "Murder, Terrorism and Terrorism Conspiracy" as offences.

Prabhakaran is wanted by India also as the first accused in the Rajiv Gandhi assassination case. 

The arrest warrants were issued by Colombo/Sri Lanka and Madras/India.

Prabhakaran and his terrorist group is linked to many assassinations and atrocities such as the Central Bank bomb blast in 1996 and various other bomb blasts killing innocent civilians. 

Meanwhile, the Indian Home Minister has assured Parliament that steps are being taken to get the LTTE chief extradited.
