LTTE supporter deported from India

Mr. M. K. Eelavendhan, a Sri Lankan Tamil alleged to be an LTTE supporter was deported to Colombo on Monday following a Union Home Ministry directive.

The Hindu reporting the news on Tuesday said that he had been residing in Chenai for more than a decade.

Mr. Eelavendhan was a TULF functionary, later turned to an LTTE supporter.

He was picked up for enquiry from his Arumbakkam residence around 5 a.m. and put on a Colombo flight.
