Postponed Paris Aid Group meeting on Dec. 18,19

The Paris Aid Group meeting will take place on 18^th and 19^th of this month. The initial steps have already been taken to have a round of discussions today with the representatives of the donor countries in preperation for the Paris meeting, Minister of Industrial Development and Deputy Minister of Finance  Prof. G.L.Peiris told parliament yesterday.

The Minister said the Paris Aid Group which was scheduled to meet last year was postponed at the request of the Government of Sri Lanka due to the presidential elections in December 1999 and the general elections in October 2000.
