The Bishop of the Jaffna, Rev. Thomas Savundranayagam has appealed to all the Sri Lankans to seize the current opportunity to find a peaceful solution to the ongoing ethnic conflict. Speaking at a meeting prominent religious dignitary said, “ A good opportunity to find a peaceful solution has now arisen we should not let this opportunity slip out of our hands.” He pointed out that the LTTE’s offer and that the Norwegian Government had held out a helping hand and said that this situation must be utilised to find a permanent solution to the unwanted war now tearing the island.
