PM's Christmas message

Christmas is a Holy Day for all Christians. Similarly, it is the Day that the message of peace was disseminated to the World. Our fervent wish is lasting peace on the day that the apostle of peace was born," Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickremanayake said, in a Christmas day Message on Monday. 

"We cannot condone brutalities such as murder and mayhem, irrespective of they are committed in the north or in the south. We are earnestly awaiting for peace like looking at a mirage on a day such as today. 

I earnestly wish that today will be a Christmas of peace for all Christians in Sri Lanka and throughout the world," the message added.
