New secretary to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports

The President with immediate effect has appointed Dr.P. Ramanujan as the secretary to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports.

During the past four years he was the Secretary to the Ministry of Livestock Development and Estate Infrastructure.

He is a Class one officer of the Sri Lanka Planning Service and counts over 28 years of service. 

Meanwhile, the President appointed Siri Visumperuma of the Sri Lanka administrative service (class one) as Chief Secretary, Sabaragamuwa Provicial Council.
