A organisation named Sinhala National Congress will be formally launched next Saturday with the view to voicing the aspirations of the Sinhalese and safeguarding the unitary status of the country said the former Sihala Urumaya president S. L. Gunasekara. He said that conducting propaganda and research on Sinalese aspirations and educating the public, specially the youth on their rights are among the main activities planned by the organisation.
