The Foreign Ministry reported yesterday that Sri Lanka and Russia reached an agreement on specific measures directed to eliminate terrorism. The Ministry sources confirmed Foreign Minister of Russia Igor S. Ivanov and the Sri Lankan Minister of Foreign Affairs Lakshman Kadirgaramar issued a joint statement to combat international terrorism after bilateral talks. The joint statement made at Moscow yesterday, agreed to take all necessary measures within their territories to prevent and suppress the preparation and organization of terrorists acts directed against other states and their citizens. Also the Russian Foreign Minister agreed to support the International community in eliminating international terrorism.
