President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunge yesterday decided to stop importing any more new vehicles for Ministers and Ministries until the end of this year. According to sources guidelines relating to this decision will be issued next week. The President has also set new guidelines restrict the use of Ministry vehicles and telephones. This latest move to cut back Government expenditure was announced at the Cabinet press briefings by the Media Minister Anura Priyadarshana Yapa.
