PA rally LTTE bomb attack : Management of suicide bomber's lodge arrested

The owner and manager of the lodge where the LTTE female suicide bomber who exploded the bomb at the PA rally, attempting to kill President Kumaratunga at Municipal Grounds Colombo on December 18, 1999, was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) yesterday.

According to police sources a Tamil couple had stayed in the lodge from December 17 to December 18, 1999. But the suspects had denied stating that they knew nothing of the incident.

23 persons were killed and President Kumaratunga injured in the bomb explosion.
