Security Forces and Police personnel in North and East are sacrificing their lives for the unity of this country. They enable the south to continue with its normal life. Even at this moment, these brave men and women are sacrificing their lives or otherwise limbs. In order to be constantly reminded of our responsibility to the combatants, the disabled, their families, and the families of those missing and killed in action, the Rana Viru Seva Authority and the Ranaviru Surakum Seva Authority of the Presidential Secretariet calls on all people to begin any public event by observing one minute of deep silence. “In thought and word and deed we are with you,” is the message to those fighting to preserve our independence and their families. As Lawrence Binyon said, the going down of the sun and in the morning, we shall remember them.
