RVSA to provide 2000 houses for War Heroes

The Rana Viru Seva Authority (RVSA) has implemented a Housing Development Project to service personnel engaged in the north and east battlefront and the soldiers who are disabled and the families of those of those missing or killed in action.

This programme intends to help service personnel and the Police to overcome the shelter problem, said RVSA chairperson Dr. Narme Wickramasinghe. An action plan has already been drawn up by the RVSA to construct 300 housing units in 12 electorates.

The President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunge inaugurated this special housing development programme last year.
