Eight Lawyers appointed President’s Counsel

President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga has appointed eight new President’s Counsel, the Presidential Secretariat reported today.

Those who have received these appointments are, Mr. Sarath Wije Lewke Bandara, Dr. K.H.R. Jayampathy Wickramaratne, Mr. A.G. Mohamed Marleeen, Mr. Sinnathamby Mahenthiran, Mr. D. Priyantha Mendis, Dr. Amrith Rohan Perera, Mr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakse and Mr. M.M. Zuhair.

The appointments are with effect from March 12 2001.
