Solheim briefs Indian leaders on progress of peace process

Norwegian peace envoy Eric Solheim briefed Indian External affairs Minister Jaswant Singh in New Delhi, Thursday (15) on the progress of the Sri Lankan peace process.

Whilst appreciating Norway’s efforts, India is reported to have emphasised the need for an early conclusion of the dialogue.

At every stage of his engagements with the Sri Lankan Government and the representatives of the LTTE, Solheim has kept India posted on developments, sources said.

President Kumaratunga on her current tour of Europe, has reiterated that no stone would be left unturned in the quest for peace in Sri Lanka.
