LTTE free four prisoners

The LTTE released four Sinhala farmers held for sixteen months last Friday (16), spokesman for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Harsha Gunawardena said today.

The victims had been informed that they would be released to mark the visit of Norwegian peace envoy Erik Solheim.

They have already been re-united with their families through the ICRC.
