French President Jacques Chirac pledged to exchange intelligence information on terrorist activities including fund raising, human trafficking and drug peddling enabling Sri Lanka to curb LTTE activities. The pledge to extend his fullest cooperation to curb international terrorism, was made to the visiting Sri Lankan President, Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga. Talks between the French and Sri Lankan Presidents also concentrated on the ongoing peace process in Sri Lanka.
