A minor explosion occurred in a high-security area in Colombo this morning. Police investigating the incident said that the explosion occurred in a building close to the President's House in Colombo. An officer from the Presidential Security Division was injured when he tried to open a suspicious box in an abandoned building during a routine search operation, Police said. Workers in nearby buildings seemed unperturbed but confirmed that they had heard a minor explosion.
