The second Sri Lanka- Malaysia Business Promotion and Investment Fair is to be held in Colombo's Trans Asia Hotel from June 28- 30. The Trade Fair will be held in association with the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM), Sri Lankan High Commission in Malaysia and the Malaysian High Commission in Sri Lanka. A Malaysian High Commission spokesman told PRIU, “This trade exhibition will provide ample opportunities for exchange of technology, information and tie-up strategic deals, discuss and negotiate joint venture proposals and transfer of technology with the Sri Lankan business community.” Senior Assistant Secretary General of the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, Ms. I.P. Domingopillai said that thirty five Malaysian organizations comprising buyers, sellers, traders and investors are expected to participate in this fair. A Chamber spokesman said, “There is no doubt this event will result in promotion of trade and investment between Sri Lanka and Malaysia. This would also lead to joint ventures and more traffic from Malaysia in the future.”
