The Sri Lanka Central Transport Board (SLCTB) will add an ultra modern passenger vessel costing Rs. 72.5mn to strengthen passenger transportation between Mutur and Trincomalee on January 14. This new vessel equipped with ultra modern equipment has the facility to carry 150 passengers and will replace the old SLCTB vessel which has the capacity of only 100 passengers. The Government Treasury has granted financial allocations to purchase the vessel from Colombo Dockyard Company.
