LTTE killed 14 Tamil civilians on Sunday at Kokkadicholai, one of the villages under LTTE control, for their alleged involvement with security forces, revealed police sources in the East to The Island.
According to Divaina, these villagers were being
shot in their heads and the LTTE had propagated about this execution via
loud speakers throughout the area as a warning. Also it has been revealed
by the security forces regarding information about a large number of Tamil
civilians suffering in the hands of LTTE custody for going against the
Tigers. The LTTE has distributed leaflets announcing death penalty as a
punishment for being involved with the security forces on friendly basis
or as informants.
