Election violators brought to book

Action has been taken against more than 60 percent of 2,500 election related violent incidents reported during the Presidential election last year, police sources revealed.
     Actions had been filed against 350 suspects who were alleged to have been involved in more than 250 violent incidents, published sources said.
     Around 700 incidents had been settled by the respective police stations. Several persons due to various reasons had withdrawn some cases.
     Cases where suspects have absconded were set aside but the police are said to be on the look out for these suspects to file action against them.
