Two boys suspected to be LTTE spies were taken in to custody by the Anti Terrorist Squad of Colombo division on Monday, police sources revealed. The two suspects were arrested on a tip-off while they were riding bicycles along Sir James Pieris Mawatha. Residents of Jaffna, the suspects told the police they were studying at a private school in Colombo and were boarded at a lodge in Wellawatte. After police searched their rooms, several maps of the city, a list of names of several VIPs and two video cassettes portraying LTTE training camps were discovered.
The suspects are under detention orders pending
further investigation.
