Police investigations have revealed him to be an LTTE leader, normally resident in Jaffna.

Investigations have revealed that the suspect had stayed at two lodges in Pettah over the past two years, and conducted frequent transactions funelling funds from the drugs trade to the LTTE in Wanni.

The LTTE had provided the suspect with living expenses.
