A man who
tries to burn alive the driver involved in the death of his son in a motor
accident five year ago was arrested by the police. The
father of the killed youth had dragged the driver to his house in
Colombo's Mutwal area on Monday, poured kerosene oil over him and set him
alight. The
victim had jumped into the nearby Kelani river and doused the flames cut
he was admitted to hospital with severe burns. Th traffic accident in which the attacker's son died had occurred five years ago but he had told the police he was provoked when he saw the driver and decided to burn him alive.
