The Central Government in India will be extending the ban on the LTTE, due to expire soon, on the recommendations of the Tamil Nadu State Government, a report said. The ban on the LTTE is scheduled to expire by the middle of next month. On renewing the ban on the LTTE, the Federal Government would act after the Tamil Nadu Government recommends extension of the ban, Indian Home Minister, L.K.Advani said. According to Advani, this will be
a Central ban, and it is expected very soon, with the Indian Government
banning the extremist outfit People's War Group (PWG), in the states
affected by the Naxalite violence.
