The LTTE intelligence deputy leader of Mannar district was arrested while spying on the police and the army, police sources said yesterday. He was a resident of Waikkal Mannar and had been wearing an artificial leg. A grenade was found in his possession at the time of his arrest, police said. Later, the suspect have confessed about his spying and had revealed that he was gathering information to make plans for an attack on the Mannar police station and the army camp.
