Pakistani arrested for allegedly video-filming  BIA

A Pakistani national who is alleged to have video-filmed the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), was arrested by the CID yesterday.

The foreigner with three others had video taped several sections of the International Air Port, DIG, conducting the investigations revealed. But when the CID arrested the Pakistani national the video camera had not been in his possession.

Investigations have also revealed that the same suspect had video-filmed the Male Airport the previous day. 

A special team is conducting investigations to trace the three other persons, also Pakistani nationals, who had accompanied the main suspect.

Investigators revealed that the addresses of the three accomplices of the main suspect given to the Airport were forged.

The special CID team is conducting investigations at the Banadaranaike International Airport to trace the video camera, which was in the possession of the Pakistani national.
