Killing 15 inmates and injuring 24, the LTTE had shelled an elder's home in Kaithady, in a brutal attempt to highlight Tiger power, the Special Media Information Centre said. According to reports, the LTTE is engaged in seeking revenge from Tamil civilians. Its aim to evict the civilians through a campaign of terror. The Security Forces are currently, formulating a special plan to protect elders' and orphans' homes, places of worship and other public places from the terrorists. Claiming to fight for the rights of the Tamil population in the Island, the LTTE is violating their rights through terror and violence, while posing as the saviour of the Tamil people.
