The Bharathiya Janatha Party (BJP), President, Kushabhau Thakre disagreed, yesterday, with Shiv Sena’s demand to lift the ban on the LTTE, who are presently engaged in a ruthless war against the Sri Lankan government, sources said. “ The ban is correct... It will continue”, Thakre told reporters at the BJP headquarters, when he arrived to meet the newly appointed bearers of the Tamil Nadu unit. Supporting the National Democratic Alliance government’s stand on the Sri Lankan issue, the BJP President said that he agreed with Prime Minister Vajpayee’s decision to step in if necessary to solve the Sri Lankan crisis.
