Eastern province SLFP organiser M.K.D.S. Gunawardane escaped with injuries when an LTTE suicide bomber blew himself up yesterday at his residence at Kantale. Another suicide bomb attack took place when the other suspect was fleeing from the residence after the two suspects had come on the pretext of handing over a letter to Mr. Gunawardane who is a former MP and is now the rehabilitation coordinator of the province. Three policemen were injured in the blast.
