Deputy Foreign Minister of Norway, Raymond Johansen saw photographs of the LTTE attack on the Dalada Maligawa in January 1998 and expressed shock at the damage that had been caused, sources said, yesterday. The Norwegian Minister was shown these photographs, by the Diyawadana Nilame, Neranjan Wijeyeratne, when the Minister took time off from his talks in Colombo and visited the sacred temple in Kandy. Meanwhile, Indian officials said yesterday, that a Norwegian envoy, part of the delegation, which visited Sri Lanka, would arrive in Delhi on Wednesday to discuss matters on the current crisis in Sri Lanka. They will brief Indian officials on talks held in Colombo between the Sri Lankan government and their delegation.
