The Kotahena Police together with the Criminal Investigation Bureau has arrested around 22 youth belonging to the Black Tiger group of the LTTE, sources said. The Black Tigers, who arrived for a giant operation in the city of Colombo, were in possession of a large number of explosives, in order to carry out chaos in the city. This massive attack was to be carried out with the aid of an illegal storage of ammunition available to the Tigers. Meanwhile, a Tamil businessman who had allegedly supported the Tigers in Colombo, financially, had fled the country, recently, the Kotahena police said, adding that certain female Tigers are roaming the city of Colombo, at present.
