Government to brief Tamil parties on the consensus
[13 July 2000]

A meeting was held at Temple Trees, yesterday to discuss proposals for the new constitution. Representatives of the TULF attended the meeting, with other Tamil parties.

"Radio Sri Lanka", EPDP leader Douglas Devananda and the PLOTE leader D. Sidharthan met Government representatives. The consensus which the PA and UNP arrived at during the last four months was explained in the meeting. 

The Government plans to hold further discussions with the TULF, EPDP, PLOTE and TELO.
