Sihala Urumaya to use Dhamma Teachers for campaigns

The new political party, Sihala Urumaya has decided to rope in Dhamma School teachers for its political campaign.

The Jatika Daham Guru Sabhawa, which was established two years ago has summoned a meeting of their members on September 9 at the Asgiri Buddhist Centre, Kandy with a view to decide on the ways and means of conducting a political campaign.

A spokesman of the Sihala Urumaya said that it hoped almost 70,000 strong Dhamma school teachers would heed their call.
