Troops capture another female LTTE cadre

A 15-year-old female LTTE cadre called "Rajiya" alias Irachchialbi was captured by troops during the recent Chavakachcheri battle in Jaffna on September 18, military sources revealed.

The LTTE cadre is now under military custody where she is being interrogated.

According to the teenage terrorist, Rajiya, over 30 cadres who had been fighting along with her in the Chavakachcheri battle were killed during the heavy fighting on Sunday.

Fighting has escalated in the north and had weakened terrorist offensive operations that had been planned against the security forces during the election period.
