At
a press conference to introduce the PA election manifesto, Prime Minister
Ratnasiri Wickremanayake said the North-East war was against terrorism and
not against a minority, sources said.
The PA election
manifesto was titled “ Our vision for a decent democratic and
progressive path” and all constituent party leaders of the PA were
present.
According
to Prime Minister Wickremaratne, the government is committed to fighting
the war against terrorism to the hilt and will leave no stone unturned to
wipe out terrorism and conduct the war in the North and the East to a
successful conclusion.
He
also said that it is a great pity that the UNP and its leader, Ranil
Wickremasinghe have still failed to denounce the atrocities committed by
the LTTE.
