President congratulates Susanthika

President Kumaratunga also joined the exhilarated Sri Lankan community congratulating Susanthika Jayasinghe when she said “I am very proud that Susanthika had been able to realise the 52 year old dream.  I salute her on behalf of the people both as a Sri Lankan and a woman".

"Susanthika gave courage not only to young sports achievers to pave there way  to the highest level, but made sports authorities realise that successors should be groomed to achieve greater heights," President Kumaratunga said. 

The congratulatory message was broadcasted over the media shortly after Jayasinghe's victory at Olympic Games.

People forgot about the war for a minute from the bliss that Susanthika gave to the while nation.
