The European Union Electoral Observation Mission’s Chief Observer, John Cushnahan is travelling to Trincomalee today. He
will be meeting election officials in the area and will be briefed by the
European Union Long-Term observers who are in the region. Cushnahan will visit Anuradhapura and Puttalam before returning to Colombo on Wednesday. The European Union observers will be returning to Jaffna today where they will be based until the end of the polling process.
