The Special Unit of Prevention of Terrorism in Matale, arrested a police constable attached to the Matale police station who had allegedly prepared false documents for hardcore LTTE terrorists. The arrested constable had charged Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 15,000 from each terrorist who had come from Vavuniya and Batticaloa. The suspect under interrogation has revealed information regarding LTTE cadres hiding in estate areas. Police has taken seven members of the LTTE members into custody on information received from the suspect, police sources revealed. The suspect is under interrogation at the Kandy anti-terrorism unit.
