On Tuesday, 65 young officer cadets of Intake 14, graduated from Kotelawala Defence Academy. The convocation was ceremonially held at the Bandaranaiake Memorial International Conference Hall. Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadirgamar graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Academy holds a prestigious position as a University Academy. The university awards Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees on defence studies. The Academy has produced more than 875 graduates since its commencement. Currently, these young efficient graduate officers render a brilliant service to the nation as Commissioned Officers in the Sri Lanka Army, Navy and Air Force. And majority of these officers works in operational areas in the North and East.
