On October 4, police personnel on a mobile patrol were attacked by a group of terrorists with small arms at 7.25p.m at 3rd Colony, in Central Camp, Ampara. The police personnel retaliated with small arms killing a terrorist. And two police constables were killed while a civilian and 06 police constables were injured in the confrontation, the Special Media Information Centre said. Subsequently police personnel recovered the terrorist’s dead body along with a T-56 weapon and two magazines. The police jeep was also damaged due to the incident.
