People’s Alliance in leading in the general elections polls results, clearly indicating the confidence the people have in the present Government, political sources said today. “It is evident that the people of Sri Lanka have confidence in President Kumaratunga and her Government in finding a solution to the north east problem,” they said. “Also they had not responded well to certain extremist parties who had been trying to capitalise on certain nationalistic issues,” they added.
