New cabinet sworn in today
[19 October 2000]

The new Cabinet Ministers of the second People's Alliance government of Sri Lanka were sworn in before President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga at President's House at 9.30  a.m.today. The new cabinet consists of 42 Ministers.  President Kumaratunga retains the portfolios of  Defence and Finance.
