Yesterday’s LTTE suicide bombing at Town Hall killed three persons including a police officer and injured 21, sources said. Among the injured were two police personnel and three American nationals. Police reveal that already five suspects have been taken into custody and detectives believe that the Tiger had been waiting close to Colombo’s Green Path to target a VIP, since a number of Ministers took oaths yesterday and a new Cabinet was formed. Sources reveal that the Tiger youth had spoken over a mobile telephone when the Ministerial Security Division challenged him and had later detonated himself.
