Minister Kadirgarmar requests Oslo to renew facilitatioon for peace

Sources said that, immediately after the General Elections Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadirgarmar met a Senior Norwegian diplomat at Oslo requesting them to renew facilitation for peace.

The LTTE had reportedly told Norway it had lost confidence in the government but Oslo diplomats said that they would push ahead with peace efforts.  Meanwhile the Ambassadore to Norway in Colombo met the UNP leader Ranil Wickramasinghe yesterday, sources said.
