Two civilians were injured when a Tiger terrorist fired at them with a pistol with animosity, in Jaffna peninsula, while another civilian was also attacked in Ampara in his own paddy field by the LTTE terrorists.

These shocking news was revealed by the Special Media Information Centre yesterday.

On 25 October during daytime at Inuvil two civilians were injured when a terrorist fired at them with a pistol when they refused to give their motor cycle to the terrorist. The injured were admitted to Jaffna hospital.

On 25 October around 9 am, a civilian identified as Nandasena of 8th colony in Central Camp, Ampara was admitted to base hospital, Ampara due to injuries sustained when terrorists opened fire on him while he was walking in his paddy field.

Military sources condemning the brutal attacks stated that the terrorists are under high pressure both externally and internally.

“They have a proven history of killings of their own people as well as other civilians belonging to other communities,” a senior military official pointed out.

Farmers and fishermen have come under severe LTTE threat from recently, he said.

“But now it seems that their vicious claws are reaching others as well”.
